- May I make money from your downloads?

NO!
Selling my downloads on collection cds, either on ebay or in any other form, is strictly forbidden. Uploading my downloads to any kind of website or service that requires payment is also strictly forbidden. In short, any kind of commercial gain from my files is FORBIDDEN! Got it? Good.

- I'm a creator. May I...

use your meshes? Yes, if they are actually mine. Most downloads offered here use other people's meshes and you'll have to check the readmes for their conditions.
modify your meshes? Yes, if they are mine and not based on someone else's mesh. Once again, most meshes on this site are not mine at all, and many of my own are based on other meshes. You may modify them if you contact the original mesh maker and get their permission, too.
recolour your skins? Yes, unless the skin or object carries Seekers artwork, e.g. a Giselda logo on a shirt or a poster. If your version won't have that part of artwork, go ahead and recolour to your hearts content.
clone your objects? Yes, you can clone my original objects. You can also clone any hacked or otherwise modified object that I made if the original creator is okay with it (you'll have to ask them yourself/read their policies). In case of original objects that are not Seekers characters you may use the graphics to create something different, e.g. use a plush bear object graphic to put it on a bookcase, but not use an Akshi plushie graphic. Seekers objects are marked as such.

A common rule for all of these actions: give credit where credit is due! To *everyone* involved, me as well as the creators that I listed in object descriptions/readme files. Also, any and all use on paysites is forbidden. If you plan to upload your creations to a paysite, to TSR or as a donation set or special forum gift, I deny you permission to use my stuff as a base. Period.
Sorry for all the "buts". The Sims community has serious problems with drama-queens, and as much as I'd like to just say "go ahead and modify whatever you want!", I don't want a gang of witchhunters going after you. Always make sure to check back with the policies of every creator involved.

- Will there be Sims2 or Sims3 downloads?

No, there won't. Securom, installation limits and paysites made me decide that I don't want either of those games.

- Can I request something?

Yes, you can. I won't promise that I actually make it, but feel free to post your wish in the forum or in the shoutbox. Ideas for fantasy skins are very welcome, requests for copyrighted (anime) characters or celebrities will be ignored.

- What do I get if I donate to you?

Currently I do not require donations from Simmers.

- What's your stance on paysites?

Paysites rip off fans of Sims1 and Sims2 alike, that's my view on this.

Take a look at *any* gaming community. There is no other game where people can get away with selling fanstuff without the explicit permission of the producer (see Second Life). Modders make custom content for the thanks and the warm fuzzies, and they would never ask for money (and the companies wouldn't allow it anyways). What makes Sims so different from Duke Nukem, Unreal, Oblivion or Neverwinter Nights? Creating fanstuff is a hobby.
Having a website is a hobby too, and these days it's not even an expensive hobby anymore, especially not in the Sims1 world. If you can't afford it, open a Yahoo group, join an existing site or just stop it.

Nobody has a right to sell Sims content except Maxis/EA, the EULA tells you so when you install the game.

Paysites create jealousy amongst rich fans and those who are poor, too young or live in a country not supported by PayPal. I don't want to be part of such a community where fans are not equals.
And last but not least, paysites make me mad because I'm a creator too. I too spent/d hundreds and hundreds of hours creating things, pay monthly for my website, had to buy new hardware, programs and materials to create fancier things. And I offer it all for free, because I LOVE creating these things and sharing them with other fans.

The code in objects, the skeletons and bodies of Sims, often even part of the graphics, all that belongs to Maxis. The Sims-specific programs I use to create were written by the community for free. The tutorials I learned my stuff from were written for free. In short, making a quick buck on the backs of others is not my style.

And let's not forget the copyright theft. Everywhere I see stolen artwork in Sims picture frames, stolen photos made into objects, VIP photos glued onto Sims heads, trademarked company logos on skins/ objects and Daz3D and Poser meshes made into Sims meshes (which the original creators often don't approve of, btw). I'm supposed to "donate" for things that are far beyond fair use and downright illegal to sell. As if.
Everything on this website is freely available. People shall donate because they want to support me, not because they see a file that they crave for and can't get otherwise.

T$R MUST BE DESTROYED!
EA doesn't get a single penny from me until they disavow their romance with T$R and finally disallow paysites altogether!
